Our Mission
A woman-owned company on a mission to transform the agriculture industry in Cambodia by providing farmers with access to global markets and training to meet international standards. By connecting local farmers with buyers worldwide, Grove Fruit Growers ensures fair prices, improved farming practices, and sustainable livelihoods. Through our bulk, private label, and consumer packaged goods lines, Grove Fruit Growers offers responsibly sourced, premium tropical fruits while empowering Cambodian farming communities.
The Problem
Cambodia lost twenty-five percent of its population to genocide in the 1970s and continues to face extreme poverty. Despite producing large quantities of fruit, much goes unsold or is bought at below market prices. Farmers lack the knowledge and resources to meet international standards, while also facing challenges like limited access to clean water, lack of education for their children and basic food staples. Many are trapped in cycles of debt, unable to repay microloans due to unsold produce.
The Solution
In collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Asian Development Bank (ADB), Grove Fruit Growers mobilizes grant funds and facilitates resources to provide Cambodian farmers with the training needed to meet foreign market standards. These training programs focus on essential topics such as Good Agriculture Practices (GAP), Maximum Residue Limits (MRL), traceability, and advanced growing and harvesting techniques.
Grove Fruit Growers is committed to meeting United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) to achieve a better and more sustainable future for Cambodia. Grove Fruit Growers is working toward the following development goals:
